Every device, not just the problems
Switch on “show all devices” for the full list with the driver each one is running — useful even when there's nothing to update.
It looks at what's actually in your PC, tells you which drivers are genuinely out of date, and updates the ones you choose.
How it works
No progress bar that says “working” while something unexplained happens. Every row says what is happening to it and how far along it is.
STEP 1
It reads the devices you actually have and compares them against a catalogue of driver packs. Real names — your network card, your chipset, your touchpad — with the version you're on and the one available.
STEP 2
Genuine improvements are ticked for you. Anything doubtful — usually where Windows supplied the driver you have — is offered but left unticked, with the reason beside it. Nothing installs unless you press the button.
STEP 3
The row is the progress bar: which pack it's waiting on, and how fast that pack is arriving. The line above gives the combined speed and time left. Blue is working, green went well, grey changed nothing, red failed — and a red row tells you what Windows said.
STEP 4
A restore point first, where Windows allows one, then installs through Windows' own driver ranking. If a driver misbehaves, Undo puts back exactly what was there — the whole run, or just the ones you leave ticked.
What it does
A driver updater has one job and many ways to get it wrong. These are the choices that keep it honest.

Rolls back through the Windows driver store, so it works even where System Restore is off or unavailable. Put the whole run back, or untick the ones that are fine and reverse only the rest.
English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Indonesian. It follows Windows, and you can correct a word yourself without waiting for a release.
It mentions a new version once a day and installs nothing until you press the button. Releases are signed with a key that never touches this website, so taking over the site isn't enough to push a fake one.
If Windows decides the driver you have is the better match, DriverKit keeps it and says so. That's the ranking working, not a failure.
The full driver library is 70 GB. DriverKit fetches the 23 MB list, then only the packs your choices need — at whatever speed limit you set.

Where the drivers come from
DriverKit doesn't collect drivers. It's a different way to use a library that other people have spent years building and keep updating.
Snappy Driver Installer Origin (SDIO) maintains the driver packs — tens of gigabytes of manufacturer drivers, sorted, indexed and republished as new ones appear. That collection is the reason this app can tell you anything useful at all.
DriverKit downloads those packs unmodified and checks every byte against SDIO's own catalogue before using them. It doesn't repackage them, host its own copies, or claim them.

Is it safe?
Installing a driver needs them. Asking up front beats failing at the last step of something you've already waited for.
The comparison happens on your machine. No account, and no list of your hardware going to any server. Driver packs arrive over BitTorrent, which does show your IP address to the people sharing them — the privacy page explains exactly what goes where.
When it can't — Windows Server has no System Restore — it says so instead of pretending. Undo works either way.

DriverKit isn't code-signed yet — a certificate costs money this project doesn't have — so SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC.” Click More info, then Run anyway. To be certain first, check the SHA-256 against the downloads page.
Questions
Often, no — Windows Update handles most drivers well now. Where it falls short: a fresh install with no network driver, a laptop whose touchpad or card reader never got one, and devices Windows leaves on a generic driver for years. DriverKit tells you which of those apply, and says so plainly if the answer is “none”.
It's built so a bad outcome is reversible: a restore point first where possible, Windows' own ranking deciding whether a driver is really a better match, and Undo to put back what was there. The riskiest thing a driver updater can do is force a driver that doesn't belong. DriverKit doesn't do that.
Because the library is 70 GB and volunteers sharing it are what keep it alive. DriverKit fetches only the packs you need and shares back what it has. You can turn sharing off in Settings, though leaving it on is what keeps the library there for the next person. Note that BitTorrent shows your IP address to other people in the swarm — details here.
Delete the folder. That's the whole thing — no installer, no registry entries, no service left running. Drivers you installed stay installed; use Undo first if you want them gone.
That's what the wired and wireless editions are for. Download one on a working computer, copy it over on a USB stick, and it installs your network driver with no connection at all.
No catch. GPLv3, no ads, no bundled extras, no “pro” version, nothing to pay for. The driver packs are free too.
The build here is 64-bit and targets Windows 10 and 11. It may run on 8.1; that isn't tested. There's no 32-bit build.
Press Details — it shows what happened in order, including the actual error. If a driver caused the trouble, Undo is on the same screen.
About two minutes, and it tells you honestly if the answer is “nothing”.
